Maximator high efficiency air driven high pressure liquid pumps are ideal for a broad variety of oil, water and chemical applications. These air driven liquid pumps feature a large air piston joined to a smaller diameter plunger. The pressure ratio for the air driven liquid pump is the difference of these two areas and is the method of determining maximum output pressure. Higher pressures are obtained by using higher pressure ratios. Maximator model numbers reflect the liquid pumps nominal pressure ratios, while the technical data indicates exact ratios.
Maximator air driven high pressure liquid pumps cycle automatically. These high presure liquid pump stop automatically when the output pressure forces and the air drive forces are equal. The air driven liquid pump restarts with a slight drop in the outlet pressure or an increase in the air drive pressure.
The Maximator air driven high pressure liquid pump performance can be affected by a number of conditions, such as freezing of mufflers or pilot valves (which is caused by moisture in air lines), inadequate inlet air line sizes and dirty filters.
